If you are the sort of person who cannot motivate yourself to exercise in front of a DVD, or find yourself getting distracted by a Youtube advert rather than workout, then you may benefit from a little TLC from a personal trainer.  If you are a busy working Mum, pregnant, or a busy Mum, finding even 20 minutes to exercise sounds like a more illusive concept than catching your partner doing night feeds!  Even when your children are older, your jobs do not get any smaller and unfortunately Mums tend to put themselves pretty low on the pecking list.  This can mean that years have past and you have still not found time to try and improve your health and exercise.

It’s not too late to start

If this does sound like you, please do not beat yourself up, you are one of many, however it is never too late to start dedicating some well deserved time to yourself.  I often hear people say ‘i’m too unfit to exercise’, which gives the best opportunity to start.  Just that sentence alone creates so many goals that will be easy to achieve.

It’s not all about a flat tum, it’s how you feel..

Setting a goal like exercising once a week when you you haven’t exercised since leaving school or since before you got pregnant, is a great achievement to begin with.  Women often set the bar too high and expect to achieve a flat tummy in the first few weeks and when they do not see a change, they give up.  It’s all about setting smaller targets that you can achieve and that will make you feel instantly fab because you have succeeded it.  This is where I can help you.  Working together to achieve manageable goals, is what will keep you committed and will help you feel brilliant.

Exercising safely 

If you have just had a baby, there are many factors to be aware of.  Factors such as, do you have Diastasis Recti? Do you have urinary incontinence? pelvic organ prolapse? breastfeeding? and many more.  This is all taken into account when designing a suitable programme for you, so that you see and feel results from the outside and in.  If you are exhausted due to sleep deprivation, the programme would be modified dramatically, after all it is all about you and paying attention to the way you feel is key.

Private environment

Exercising in front of people that you may feel are much fitter than you can often be the first hurdle of objection.  Some women like to exercise in a private environment so that they feel less intimidated.  I can offer personal training sessions in a private room away from mainstream venues, so that you can feel and be your best in a safe environment.  I am based in Plymstock, Plymouth and can also travel to your home.  If you have a baby or young children you would like to bring with you, that is also fine.
