About This Lesson
The Active Mum’s project has been initiated to help Mum’s gently ease themselves back into exercise, if they have not participated in activity for a while.
Mum’s spend so much time taking their adorable babies to every rhyme and sensory class there is, well what about Mum? Fitting in exercise whilst wanting to spend time with your little ones is always a battle and leaving your baby to exercise is often not an option. PostNatal Circuits helps improve your physical and mental mood through exercise but without the worry of childcare. It is a group session that also provides fun and stimulation for you and your baby, socially and physically, not only that your can watch Mummy enjoy herself too.
Exercising in your postnatal period, will not only help you get back to your pre-pregnancy weight, it will also help strengthen all of the important muscles that would have been weakened during pregnancy. If these muscles are not strengthened, you may very well suffer with aches and pains for years to come.
More importantly, if you want a quick release of those happy hormones serotonin, then exercise is the remedy. Hormonal imbalance can be a real problem in post natal mums. Exercise is proven to help boost your mood and I would say aid your sleep, however you have a beautiful baby so there is little chance of that anyway 🙂
You must be cleared by your GP to exercise. Providing you have been cleared to exercise you can come along from 6 weeks – 12 months postpartum (8-10 after a C-section).
